On May 8th, 2025, over 400 students from 10 New Hampshire communities came together at the Rochester Drinking Water Facility to celebrate National Drinking Water Week during the annual New Hampshire Drinking Water Festival, State Science Fair, and Poetry Contest.

This dynamic event brought students face-to-face with the science, engineering, and stewardship behind our most vital resource: water. Advance Pump & Filter Co. was honored to be part of the day’s festivities, joining educators, industry professionals, and state officials to help inspire the next generation of water professionals.

Our very own Jake Pleadwell represented Advance as a science fair judge, reviewing dozens of student-led projects centered on water quality, filtration, conservation, and innovation. The level of creativity and thoughtfulness from these young scientists was nothing short of incredible.

“You could tell these students had put their heart into their work,” said Jake. “They’re asking the right questions and thinking critically about how to protect and preserve our water resources. It was an honor to hear their ideas.”
